South Africa: Cape Town, Winelands & Garden Route

On arrival at Cape Town Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to De Zalze Lodge in the Cape Winelands. You'll have the afternoon to explore at leisure, where you can relax at the pool or enjoy optional wine tasting. You'll spend the next 4 nights at this luxury hotel in the heart of the winelands. 

Today you will explore Cape Town with a city tour and visit to Table Mountain. This incredible tour of Cape Town includes a tour of the city with a stop in the historical Bo Kaap area, and finishes with a trip up to the top of Table Mountain via the cableway. You'll end the day with a welcome dinner with your golf pro, Jacques.

After breakfast, you'll play on the acclaimed De Zalze golf course, an 18-hole, par-72 championship course located in Stellenbosch, designed by Peter Matkovich. Enjoy the course's challenging signature 13th hole, where a boardwalk leads to a selection of tee areas in the heart of a dam. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore at leisure.

Tee off Pearl Valley Golf Course, one of South Africa’s most prestigious courses. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this course is renowned for its wide fairways, strategic bunkering, and views of the surrounding mountains. Spend the afternoon exploring the quaint town of Stellenbosch or unwind at the hotel’s spa facilities.

Today you'll be collected and transferred to the five-star Arabella Hotel and Spa, a resort-style hotel with a beautiful pool and spa area. Enjoy a round of golf at Arabella Golf Course is a world-renowned 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Peter Matkovich, set alongside the Bot River Lagoon and framed by the majestic Kogelberg Mountains. 

Tonight is yet another overnight stay at the incredible Arabella Hotel, but your golf will be at Hermanus Golf Course. Hermanus Golf Course is a scenic 27-hole course nestled between the mountains and the sea, offering a mix of parkland and coastal holes. After your round, you'll spend the rest of the day enjoying this quaint little coastal town, with its many culinary delights. 

From Hermanus area, you'll head up the Garden Route for your next exciting adventure to Gondwana Game Reserve, famed for its remarkable wildlife sightings.  After settling into your safari lodge for a two-night stay, embark on an evening game drive. Spot wildlife in their natural habitat before returning for a delicious dinner under the stars.

Spend your days in the magic of the malaria-free Gondwana Game Reserve. Enjoy morning and evening game drives with expert guides who will share their knowledge about the area’s wildlife and ecosystems. Between drives, relax in the luxurious lodge, enjoy locally inspired meals, and take in the African landscape. 

Today, you'll be transferred to the prestigious Fancourt Hotel for a three-night stay in this sought-after golfing paradise. There are three Gary Player designed golf courses all ranked in the Top 20 in South Africa, as well as a Golf Academy. On-site you'll also discover a spa, pools, leisure centre and gourmet restaurants. Spend the afternoon at leisure exploring all that Fancourt has to offer.

Play at Montagu, one of Fancourt’s signature courses. Known for its parkland-style layout and meticulous landscaping, Montagu is regularly ranked as one of South Africa's top courses to play. After your round of golf, spend the rest of the day enjoying Fancourt’s world-class facilities.

Today you'll play a round of golf at Outeniqua Golf Course. The Outeniqua golf course provides a relaxed and enjoyable golfing experience. While it offers a constantly changing terrain, it presents sufficient challenges to keep golfers engaged. This beautiful course is named after the mountains that paint its backdrop. You'll finish off your day with a farewell dinner at Fancourt's Henry White restaurant.

Before your departure from Fancourt, enjoy a round of golf at the New Links experience, 9-hole course. This short course offers a world-class golfing experience tailored for players seeking a fast-paced yet challenging round amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Garden Route. You will then be transferred to George Airport for your onward journey.
